Tory Burch partnered with Parsons School of Design and donated clothing to be upcycled. This top was made from a Tory Burch Sample sweater. My goal was to minimize fabric scraps and was left with only 1 small circle cutout for the armhole and a small ball of threads when seam ripping the panels apart. All pleats are hand sewn.
The skirt was made from second hand fabric. This look was made with $0 by only using materials I already had. The entire look was draped to avoid pattern making paper waste. The zippers are donated by Tory Burch.
This capsule collection was inspired by my mom’s fashion style and how it has influenced my own style. I explored common silhouettes within my mom’s short sleeve tops and denim shorts.
