This piece is my visual representation of feeling the need to appear presentable, while also seeking a sense of comfort. This design combines the silhouette of a dress shirt representing a "professional" look mixed with the idea of a hoodie which is casual and comfortable. The collar has 3 pockets which button up and transform into a hoodie. I used cyanotype to mimic an X-ray effect to visualize an insight to who I am and the items that bring me comfort and happiness. Some of there objects include my art/fashion supplies, plants I've collected, seashells from my hometown, headphones, jewelry that carries meaning, keys, and my phone. The sleeves are extremely long to represent the comfort of being covered but also they are inconvenient to picture the struggle of finding the balance between comfort and presenting oneself to society's standard for success.
