A source of inspiration for my work has always been my mother’s love for orchids. When creating these two pieces, I experimented with incorporating technology into my fabrication process.
I used a laser cutter machine to cut and engrave the leather to make an orchid top. I then hand painted my design in gold and laced up the back with a leather chord.
For the silk charmeuse scarf, I made a digital collage of my mom’s favorite orchids on Photoshop. Then, I had it printed on fabric and hemmed the edges.
